Meet Thaba Manzi, one of the largest game capture companies in South Africa. Thaba Manzi also houses many orphan rhinos due to rampant poaching in South Africa. Thaba Manzi currently protects 15 rhinos of all ages at their veterinary
compound and farm. As the plague of poaching continues in South
Africa, many farmers are becoming reluctant to care for rhinos, as the
associated risks are too great. Thaba Manzi takes many of these
unwanted rhinos. As the number of rhinos needing both care and
protection grows, so does the urgent need for support.
Silent Heroes Foundation supports Thaba Manzi through the provision of veterinary supplies to enhance the health care of orphan rhinos, and is helping raise funds to enhance security on the farm. The farm has been under attack from poachers in the past, and unfortunately it is an ongoing threat for both the animals as well as the people who work to protect the rhinos.
